I got here by "accident", and I'm quite happy to have found this sound-clip-mecca!
Anyway, I just got myself a new cellphone, which can play MP3-files as ringtones.
So when I found this website, and saw the soundclips, I only had my mind on one thing: to get Gollum's voice ("My Preciousss") to work as a ringtone, when my girlfriend calls me!
I right-clicked on the link to the wave-file, and downloaded it. Then I went to www.download.com, and found a wave-to-mp3 converter - a free demo...!
I used the software to convert the wave-file, and placed the mp3-file on a webserver, where I have access.
Finally, I tapped in the complete URL for the mp3-file on my cellphone, and..... *TA-DAAAAAA*! It works!
It's cool, and I'm absolutely thrilled!
